I too had my surgery on February 4. 2003. I have lost a total of 72 lbs. and so glad I had the surgery. I feel so much better every day.

I had my surgery on Feb 4 also. I have lost 78 lbs. but wi**** was more. I'm happy for what I lost but I guess it's human nature to always wish for more. I hope I'm doing everything right. It seems to have slowed down a lot.

I had my surgery Feb. 17, 2003. I have lost 79 lbs. so far and like some of you I wi**** were more. But I know that by the time one year is up I should have no problem being at goal, which is 100 lbs. lost. I am 41 years old and I exercise 4-5 times a week on the eliptical(5 miles) and some strength training also. It is true that the amount of total weight you have to lose will regulate how much you lose in the first few months. Mine has also slowed down quite a bit, I am now only losing about 10 lbs. per month. But I am satisfied with that. You have to slow down sometime or you will just whither away.
