Thanks Lara...it's just so darn discouraging...I can't imagine that for the little amount that I am able to eat, the weight isn't just falling off...I had pretty much maintained my weight for a year or so prior to surgery and I was wating likely 3000 calories a day! I've cut that by about 75% so why am I still only losing about a pound every few days, if that??? So complicated!
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it!
I agree that moving around seems so much easier these days...I guess it'll all work out in the end...Slow and steady just equals lots of frustration but I know in the end, I'll be thankful it was slower...
Take care! Congrats on your success...that is awesome!

It's really hard, isn't it Shelly? I am with you. I am down 59 total and 37 since surgery. When I think that I only lost 15 my first month and 16 my second (and my 3rd ain't lookin spectacular at this point), I get overwhelmed that it will take forever to reach my goal.
But you know what? I'm losing significant inches. Exercise and, hell, moving through life in general is so much easier and more enjoyable. The scale isn't always going down, but it hasn't gone up, even during my period when it always used to jump 5 pounds or so.
I think we just have to realize that everybody's journey is different and find non-scale victories wherever we can. I don't have a ticker because I try not to compare myself to others too much and dwell on the pounds.
You're not alone!

I wonder about my weight loss sometimes too. I'm 10 weeks out today and I'm down 40.5lbs. I thought I'd be down further by now. I have to keep reminding myself that even though I thought I was huge, I'm a lightweight when it comes to wls..... and the lightweights tend to lose slower. I also remind myself that everyone loses at different speeds and eventually the weight WILL come off if I just keep doing what I'm supposed to.

This emotional roller coaster is driving me crazy! I will be 3 months post op a week from today and I'm only down 41lbs! WHY? I am doing everything I should be, and really had anticipated that I would have lost at least 60lbs by my 3 month milestone. I see some February peeps have lost 70 or even 80lbs...I am so frustrated with my body! Anyone else out there having a hard time understanding their low weightloss?

Program is designed for 800-900 calories per nut. I've lost a little less than you have at 12 weeks out with similat starting BMI. I'm where I'm supposed to be per doc.
Doc says 1000-1100 calories daily is good in month two. I still eat little so I shoot for min 800 knowing I can max at 1100 which for me is plenty.
