And that list is just sort of a guide of things that have worked and things that really don't. I too have trouble with meat foods in general.
I am going to be looking into Tofu and more bean recipes because I can tolerate beans more than I can tolerate just about anything else.
What meat I can eat it's still very small portions ~ I will probably look into getting some protein bars.
I have protein powder sitting right here on my desk and I can't bring myself to put it in anything it tastes so horrid :(
But, I will get there .. eventually something with a lot of protein will go down well

Sorry to hear you've been through so much difficulty.

I've had no issues requiring medical attention (thankfully). The only problem is that most meats are hard or impossible to eat most of the time. I don't get sick but I am perpetually full, even hours later. Makes it hard or impossible to eat enough or keep up with my water, but I'm working through it.
I'm at two months out also and still eating three ounces or less and using protein supplements regularly. Low carb bars and powders both high in soy because I can't use whey protein because of my asthma. I can eat most ground meat and sausages and some processed meats in limited quantities because of my blood pressure. My diet plan is restricted to meats vegetables and fruit plus dairy (soy based for me). Potatos, toast, beans etc are off limits until the maintenance stage per my doc.

Since soy can impact the thyroid I've cut out the milk in favor of cheese and protein bars beause they provide more nutrition. I eat about as often as you do for a total of nine to fifteen ounces for the day.
Still, it is so worth the struggle...
P.S. While typing this I'm having a major dejavu moment... spooky

I can't say it's been a breeze but, I wouldn't change it for anything.
After dealing with my stricture issue and not being able to eat for so long I am finally eating somewhat normally.
My last EGD procedure was on the 15th and I have been able to eat nearly 3x a day now with a couple snacks (on a good day)
I haven't experienced any dumping persay but I do still throw up within seconds of eating something that just doesn't want to sit too well.
The good part is after that happens, I can find something else to eat and I can usually keep it down.
Things that go down and stay down for me:
Pork cooked to the falling apart stage
Dairy (Milk, yogurt, cheese)
Beef cooked to the falling apart stage
Beans of any sort
boiled or mashed Potatoes
boiled carrots
applesauce
Any type of canned tomato
Toast
Soups
Water and Tea
Shredded wheat and Cornflakes - I let them get someone soggy first
Things that don't go down well or won't stay down and I have been avoiding:
Tuna / Salmon (which is sad I love grilled salmon and tuna salad)
chicken
Peanut butter
cabbage
Broccoli
coffee - which again is sad I loved my coffee lol ~ I only have a few sips of 1 cup a week now if that.
The one thing I have a little trouble with unless I poach them is eggs:
so I have a poached egg on toast a couple times a week
Today I tried some raw veggies for the first time:
I put a little lettuce and tomato on toast with a slice of bologna - so far so good

Officially I have lost 27 pounds since surgery. My last weigh in was 2 weeks ago. I don't have a scale

I am going to change that next week. I will be ordering one.
I know I have either lost inches or weight because my clothes show it - but I would really like to know. I hate not being able to check lol.
My next appt. is May 14th ~ that is going to kill me to wait that long to know how much I've lost Ahhh!!!!
I have no pain from the surgery. My incisions are completely healed. I really don't ever experience any hunger pangs and I haven't had any pouch or chest pain. So, all in all I think I am doing pretty darn good

So that's my story so far

All of the 200 recipes are under 200 calories a serving and a serving is usually more than what we can eat as post-ops anyway. It's the carbs and the sugar content in some of them that need to be watched!
And thank you!! I love doing the blog! I'll be posting the recipes that I try, as I try them as well!
P.S. Great blog you've got!

You are doing great on the excercise. I'm still pretty much on my pre op schedule but I should be at daily by now. I just logged a few reminders to my self about that. My routine is sufficiently intense but not daily as it should be.
I hope you have pics. I haven't posted any yet but I'm peeking at old posts and profiles and folks a doing so well...

Other than that, started a good workout routine at the Y 5 to 6 days per week, eating pretty much all food types, minus the sugar and low fat. Blood Pressure is doing wonderfully, and I am feeling amazing (crossing fingers).
I'm down 61 pounds since my two week pre-op diet, and 56 since day of surgery.
Congrats on your progress!!!

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
