Hello Robin,
Welcome to the OH family. I had my surgery on the 3rd and I have lost forty pounds total. I also had a stall for three weeks in March. It's better to lose slow than not at all. But also remember your losing inches as well and thats also a great thing. Take it easy and I wish you the best.

The local store clerk that checks me out on a weekly basis, said, "WOW! I can really tell you are losing!"  I have confided in her about my WLS, so she has been watching me.  That was a great morale booster!  Also my DDIL said basically the same thing.  She is a little thing and weights maybe 110, a fitness instructor, so she is really supportive of the exercise element, especially.

What I am having trouble with lately is NAUSEA.  Seems like for the last week, I have had nausea everyday.  Nothing sounds good to eat, but I am forcing a least one protein shake a day, although I feel sick afterwards.  Anyone else?  And the nausea keeps me from much exercise.  I sure hope it gets better.

I dislike, immensely, slow losing weeks. I have to weigh myself daily to monitor for my blood pressure meds. If I'm up, I need to take, if not, I don't.  Anyway, I've lived through a couple of stalls, but gone are the days of daily weigh-ins and seeing one or two pounds gone. *sigh*.
Hopefully soon I will be able to give up the blood pressure meds, and with it the daily weigh in and go for a once a week weigh in!

Hope everyone is hanging in there!

Hugs-
Kathy

Hi Robin and welcome to the February board!! I had rny on February 17th and I'm down 31.5lbs since the morning of surgery and down 51.5lbs since I started my 3 day liquid diet right before the surgery. I just came out of my third stall..... frustrating as hell!!!

It's a great feeling when others start to notice and comment. I find it keep my motivation going. That's great that you're doing water areobics!! I did it through my pregnancies and loved every minute of it. I wish I could go back to doing it but their water areobics schedule and their childcare schedule don't match up :(

Hi FELLOW FEBRUARIANS!,

I've never been to this forum before, but I'm here now! Been lurking on the main board and RNY board. I had surgery 2/10 and have lost about 42lbs. I go for my two month checkup today. I have had a couple of stalls that drive me nuts. I'm a relative lightweight (still kills me how I can be 100lbs overweight and be considerd a "light" anything) so I fear my loss will slow. I'm walking and beginning water aerobics next week. So far, so good.

Shelly, you should check out my blog, I was downish yesterday i have been sitting at 390, for about a week, and i was explaining how frustrated i was, and hoped that i would wake up and be down to at least 389, surely this morning i was down by 2 pounds. Yes its frustration, the mind races and thinks the most stupiest things.... its one emotional rollercoster............. i guess we are both hanging!

Finally, I say...people are noticing!  I am now down 35lbs and people are noticing on a regular basis that I am losing weight!  This is so motivating!  I started water areobics last week and am actually enjoying it!  It truly is an amazing workout...3 days a week and lots of walking too...Today, my thoughts are...I CAN DO THIS!  Anyone else feeling a little yo-yo'ish with the whole emotional piece of this...one day I am so frustrated, then I get pumped!  Whew!  That can be tiring in itself!  Congrats to all on your weight loss, imagine if we added up all the weight lost amongst us in February!  CRAZY, I bet!  Yay US!

Shelly
