Hello ladies,

I have not eaten bread period since my surgery. The term cracker I mean a piece of melba toast, which is not dohy and is low in cals and fat, it is not butterd it is slightly buttered with cream cheese light. As far as pasta i have ate some mac and cheese about 2 ounces or so and kept that down. However past in ministroni soup is a no go.  I have been able to eat eggs and I have been able to eat chick peas. I have only been sick off of eggs to days ago. Those are pretty much my souce of protien along with cheese. Tuna, salmon, chicken salad or out of the question they get stuck, and I throw up, I have tried adding some mirical whip light and it still gets stuck. I have taken it back a few steps and avoid this situation.

I agree.  You should probably stay away from the pasta and breads for a while.  Have you tried tuna salad, chicken salad, fish, beans, eggs or other forms of proteins?  You might be having trouble with the fat content in the butter cracker and cheese...some people get really sick from fats.

Give a call to your NUT or Dr and ask about this though...they should have some ideas for you.

Hello my fellow losers! How are you all doing? I am feeling AWESOME! I had my 6-week post-op check-up this morning. To date, I have lost 62 pounds, which is approx. 38% of my excess body weight putting me at 281lbs. My BMI has gone from 44% to 36%! I am able to eat pretty much anything but starches and sugar now. I feel better than I have in a very long time! I have gone from a size 30 to a size 22! I am wearing clothes that have been hanging in my closet for 3 years now! It's like I have a whole new wardrobe! I can't wait to say goodbye to the twenty-something sizes for good!

OMG!! I'd slap him too... I agree with Kathy!! Does he understand that just because someone says how good you look, it doesn't mean that you didn't look good before? Size 18 is great!!! You're doing amazingly and he's being a jerk!!!

Giving your dh an imaginary slap upside the head.  Sorry you had that experience. It's wonderful when co-workers dote on us! And it doesn't mean you looked bad before, they are just excited you are getting healthy, and I'm sure looking more confident and delighted. KEEP UP THAT FEELING!!!
