A trip is just an awsome prize for your victory.  I have not given myself a real treat yet.  I don't count clothes because they are a necessity and $$$ is an object so I keep them to a minimum.  My last pair of jeans served me barely a month.

I plan to treat myself once I finally hit goal.  I'm going to book the first last minute cruise that strikes my fancy.  I'm a reasonable drive from most Florida ports so its affordable without airfare to consider.

I'm shooting for January so I can take a victory/ birthday cruise.

Topic: GOAL, CAN YOU SEE IT ON THE HORIZON ANYONE?

Much love  to my Feb 2009'ers!  We're all hitting our Eighth Monthiversary this month.

This Tween stage is a *****  Not a Newbie, not a Veteran, getting bored with staying on plan and goal is so close yet so far.  I find myself more easily tempted and making more slip ups than ever over the past month or so.  I've seen your postings so I know I'm not alone.

How far is goal?  Are you half way there yet, a little less, a little more, stuck in limbo?  Or, are you the lucky one who is close enough to goal to anticipate its sweetness?  If your goal is a NonScaleVictory? What is it and how close have you gotten?

I've got 26.6 lbs to go and this stubborn edema is to blame for just two lbs in about six weeks.  The inches are moving though with my waist finally under 30" at 29.75". I've dropped from size 8P to size 6P in jeans this month; but damn it, its all about the scale for now, right or wrong.  My surgeon won't be checking my Levi's at my annual follow up.  I've still got two bp meds so I'm not there on the NSVs yet either.

Lets hear it February 2009'ers can you see goal in the distance yet?

THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD WISHES!!

I am going to start a food log for my nutritionist monday so that will help a lot.  I gotta stay on track so I am doing that old thing where you wear a rubberband and it reminds you not to do anything.

I tried the 5 day pouch test once before and my dr had a hissy fit when he found out!  He said its very unhealthy to do that so early out so I am leaving it alone.  Although I must admit, it did work!!

Thanks for replying you guys, I love the support!

Topic: Hows everyone doing?

Just wanted to see how everyone has been doing on their journey. I am feeling better by the day and happy that I received this surgery. I am looking toward my goal not the surgeons and keeping focused. Surgeons goal is 175 so I would only have to lose 19 more pounds. My goal is 145 I know I will succeed to my goal I have a lot of faith I can do it. I can't believe I am out a little over 8 months. How the time flies by. I have actually awarded myself for all the hard work I have done and next month My fiance' and I will be going away on a weekend trip. First time I will be traveling and doing something for myself and I can't wait
So how have you awarded yourselves for all your success???

CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL YOUR SUCCESS. DO THIS FOR YOURSELF NO ONE ELSE. IT'S YOUR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS THAT MATTERS DON'T ALLOW ANYONE ELSE TO PREJUDGE OR EVEN JUDGE ANYTHING YOU MAY BE DOING. WHEN YOU FEEL IT'S RIGHT YOU WILL KNOW. BUT ONCE YOU START ALLOWING OTHER INDIVIDUALS OPINIONS IN IT STARTS PLAYING GAMES WITH YOUR HEAD. KEEP UP ALL YOUR SUCCESS AND ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY.

Congrats at getting down under 200lbs. I'm looking forward to that! I hear once you get to your point out it starts to get harder to lose! But it will come off! Well that's what I hear, like 5lbs at a time every couple weeks, but I'm sure everyone is different! Good luck with getting it off! YOU CAN DO IT!

I finally made it under 200lbs!! I don't ever recall a time in my life when I was under 200. I'm guessing I was about 10. I actually called my old Pediatrician to see if they still had my old growth chart so I could check it out for myself! Although I'm excited it doesn't feel as good as I thought it would. I have worked my ass off, (literally, lol) I'm not even losing 5 lbs a month anymore. I work out 4-5 days a week, have a person trainer, eat about 1000-1200 cals, 100-120g of protein and get all my water and vitamins in. People tell me I shouldn't lose anymore weight and that makes me super uncomfortable. I'm 5'9 and 199#, I still have a way to go! I feel like I have to keep losing just to prove to everyone else that I can lose more,  which is ridiculous!
