Hey,
Do you still have your Gall bladder? because this "burning" could be a gall bladder attack especially if antacids are not helping. I had this problem 2 years ago...they actually diagnosed me with "GERD" until I was in so much pain I went to the emergency room and found out It was gall stones.....just something to consider....
Good Luck!

Hi, everyone!  I am a slow loser also, but it is coming off.  I do need to increase my exercise, also.  I have been swimming all summer, since it has been way too hot here for indoor exercise, -  it has been over 100 many, many days in a row.  TOOOOO hot!  Hopefully we will get a temp break, so I can use the treadmill again.  My total weight loss is 99 lbs and 75lbs since surgery.  Glad to see everyone is doing so well.

I have had pain too.  My pain felt like I was STARVING, my stomach hurt and hurt.  So the doc ordered a scope under anethesia.  It was not as bad as I imagined.  They did not find any ulcers, like they suspected, but a lose staple!!  And they are not worried about it!!  They said it should work itself completely lose in time.  Anyhow, I still have stomach pains, but they are tollerable.  If you have an ulcer, I would think they should continue to treat it!  I would get another opinion, for sure.

Sorry to hear that.  If he can tell you its not an ulcer why can't he tell you why you're in pain?  You need to push him to get to the root of it or see go and someone else about it.   I know nothing about ulcers, but you don't want to neglect a pain warning.

I have the worst burning sensation in my tummy!!  I have had ulcer problems from like week 12 post op.  Dr Facundus perscribed nexium....which has been working wonders....I LOVE IT!! but now he wont give it to me anymore.  he says that after a month of taking it the ulcer should be healed and everything should be fine.

UM NO! I am on fire, I think I have drank a half a bottle of carafate in like two days, and its not even touching it!!  any suggestions?  is there anything over the counter that will give me some relief?  Im dying you guys!!

Topic: RE: Patterns of weight loss
I only weigh in once a week and I tend to loose that way too... some weeks only 1 or 2 pounds... some weeks 4 or 6 pounds. Overall, I am still loosing 10 to 13 pounds a month since the 3 month post op point. I havent really stalled and my surgeon has told me that the weight loss will slow down at some point and a stall will happen. I try to get all my protein, vits and meals in but it rarely happens. I would probally loss the weight faster if I drank more protein... everyday I tell myself tomorrow I will get in 3 shakes.... then tomorrow comes and goes.

Good luck and keep up with the good work!
