Topic: 6 Month Post Op
After 6 months I am officially down 102 pounds....WOO HOO! I feel great. I weigh in at 183 and bought my first 2 pair of size 12 jeans TODAY! I can't believe it. I haven't been a 12 since....since....since I can't even remember when.

Topic: RE: Am I the only one struggling?
Hi Mary,
You can not compare your results to others. Yes I have lost a lot since surgery BUT...I started with a very high BMI almost 60! So weight comes off a little faster.
I have had struggles recently basically I guess you could call them the months of June and July...lol I had gained back about 6 or 7 lbs at one point. Working against the Band and eating poorly.
At that point I decided to go to a local support group offered by my surgeon and the psychologist he has teamed up with.
I think it made a world of difference to me I was able to recommit myself to the "program" and the weight started to come back off.
The other thing that really got me back on track was a horrific stuck episode. I thought I did some damage to myself as I was hurting for a few days after. All is well though and I learned my lesson.
Hang in there and the weight will come off. Just remember that everyone is different!

Topic: RE: February people how you doing?
My 6 months is on 8/24 funny have an appointment that same day with the surgeon..
As of this morning I am down 110 lbs .
My Diabeties is going into remission!
Went from an A1c of 9 at the highest to a 5.4 as of a few weeks ago. Also went from taking several medications to control it to taking a 1/2 of one pill.
Blood pressure NORMAL YAY!!! Being weemed of the meds.
Asthma under control. I ahve only used my rescue inhaler a 3 or 4 time since the surgery and those were when I had the flu and then a cold recently.
Best thing I could have done.
