Pitty Party
I guess it was my time to break down tonight. It was a hectic day as this was my last day to work before surgery. All of a sudden, I am in great demand. (who would have ever guessed?)
Then coming home after seeing my mom at the nursing home and bringing her laundry to wash, I realized no one in my family has said they would be at the hospital while I am having surgery.
But when I got home tonight, I had 3 messages from people, not family who care about me and another phone call since I got home. I had prayed coming home while I was crying about my situation and asking why did I always have to do things alone. The Lord took that question and has shown me that I am not alone, I have him and I have friends who might not can be with me in person but are with me in thought and prayer and care a lot.
He is great and I thank Him for being a part of my life and bringing me friends who care.
And I thank Him for all of you as well.

Sugarplum,
Of course we care. And God cares. And I have heard you talk about a church family -- they care too. Please make it known at church that you do not have family able to go through this with you and that you would appreciate someone being there that can talk to the doctor and relay back to you what he says. God knows your heart, but people can't read your mind--ask and you shall receive.
Sorry you have had a down day. It happens to most of us several times before surgery. Hugs!

HI, Martha, Keep your spirits up, remember God is giving you the change of a lifetime. The actual surgery will be only the beginning of a new and better life for you. God Bless you. The last time I was in the hospital someone did something that helped me, they brought me a stuffed kitty. She knew I liked cats and could not see mine so she brought me a stuffed one. I loved it and it meant so much. Go out tomorrow and buy yourself a new stuffed kitty to take with you. Best Wishes, Susan

Hey there Sugarplum,
Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world.
You know that with God for us...who in there right mind can be against us. I know that it is hard. I will not have anyone with me after my surgery at the hospital. My husband is coming back home so that he can be at work. The hospital is about an hour and a half from my home. I know that the Lord will never leave my side. He is my constant companion and I will lean on his everlasting arms! I will tell him about your fears when I talk to him today. I will ask that he pop over and give you some peace. A peace that surpasses all understanding.

I appreacite all your hugs and encouragement. I have been so excited about this surgery and I knew whatever I planned would start falling apart as usual. I just have to get past this.
Today I am sure will be better. Going out for My last Prime Rib dinner with friends.
Here is a joke I really enjoyed.
There was this guy who went to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. First off the dentist said, "I'll give you a shot to numb your jaw." But the guy said, "No, please don't do that, I'm afraid of needles." The dentist said, "OK, I'll get out the gas to put you to sleep." However the guy said, "Nope, I'm allergic to the gas." So the dentist said, "Just a minute, I'll go look for something else." After a while he came back with a couple of pills. The guy asked, "What kind of pills are those?" The dentist said, "Viagra." The guy said, "WHAT! Why these?" The dentist said, "They won't help the pain, but they'll give you something to hang on to while I pull your damn tooth!! ith friends tonight.
