I am new to this board

i am new to this board. I am having surgery march 23,04 at detroit harper hospital. alittle nervous. just thought that i would say hi. who else might be having surgery on march 23.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!!!! I am having mine 3-31. I know how you are feeling right now. But this site helps out a lot. There are a lot of great people on the messageboard to chat with. Please keep us updated on how your surgery goes!!! Good Luck!!

Hi Teri, i was scheduled for march 2 but i got sick with sinus infection and broncitis just getting over with coughing. so it was rescheduled for march 23. i really wanted to get it done and over with. but i am sure the 23 will get here soon enough. good luck on your surgery also.

This has been the longest month for me!!!! I have the days marked on my calendar at work. And I think that my surgery date is never going to get here. I am not nervous, just ancy. I really want to start my new life. I Let me know how it all goes.

Hello Passy and welcome to the Marchers! I am the resident Nite-Owl, It seems to be the only time when I can come here and read in peace and relax! Hi Mary, good luck on your up coming surgery also. we can keep in touch. sounds good to me. I work 2nd so i check in every nite also. I have been reading the board alot. the main board. the chat rooms are way to fast for me. Iam 51, my weight is 258. i would like to get down to 150 i think. Teri, i am counting down the days on my calender at work also. No one at works knows that i am having this surgery. they all think that i am haveing a hernia fixed. which i am.

I have told everyone at work! They keep asking - Are you sure you want to do this? Are you sure you want to go through this? And of course, I say YES!!! I even took in a diagram to show what the surgeons will be doing to me. They all think that I am crazy. It is great that they are understanding of my situation. I am about 260 lbs right now, and I would love to be 150 lbs again. I can't remember when I was that small!! I am on 2nd shift also - if you want - keep in touch with me and let me know how it all is going for you.
