What are you taking? I've heard Citrate is preferred over Carbonate but I can't find citrate in a chewable or liquid. Can you cut the citrate pills into little bits and take them?

Rob, My doc said to use Tums chewable (with calcium). 1200 mg/day. That is 2 tablets of the kind I bought. I got regular ones, but they do come in SF also. If the regulars give me a problem, I will go to SF. Hugs, Mo doin' the 9 days and a wake up happy Mo dance

Yes but Tums are calcium carbonate. I've heard that calcium citrate is absorbed much better.

I am taking my surgeon's office brand called "Bariatric Advantage" and they are pleasant tasting chewables and are Calcium Citrate with Vit D3, Vit K and Magnesium.

I don't see any reason you cant cut the pills. That's what I am doing with several vitamin types. The skin hair and nails are the hardest to swallow, but seem OK with Pepe once I do. Joy
