Hi everyone:
My name is Mary, and I live in Michigan. I am excited. I have went threw all the pre stuff for surgery so far, and waiting for a date.
I can hardly wait, smiling like eveyrone else at this point.
I was hoping someone could explain how this all works. Being a member/family. and hum what about the queen thing??? and Servent ??? LOL
I am hoping to be part of your family and also help give adivce as well as receive it.......
Question 1 LOL!!!!!! How long before most of you returned to work after the surgery?
bye for now.
Mary
Mary, this group is really nutty. The first time I came in here and was reading the queen thing and the offischal this the offischal that I was thinking "what the heck?" but it kind of grows on you, and we do do a lot of things to help each other and throw in some games and stuff to lighten things up. Our common link is that we all are having our surgeries in March...so only half have done it so far. You are welcome to join us even tho you don't have a surgery date yet, and when you do you may want to ADD the forum with common dates....as you can belong to as many different forums as you want. I am 63 so I also participate in the over 50 group. Welcome.
I am offischal puter-geek, silly sally and Pouch Name Roster keeper....we are naming our new little pouches like our babies.
Hi Mary!
Actually we have several who started out as March surgeries who have postponed to April or later for one reason or another. We also have our own resident cheerleader and f***** monitor, Kathy.
We would love to have you as part of the family. There is some good information hidden amongst the chaos!

Mary, welcome to the Marchers. I know you can not wait to find out your date. We are all a little
but fun. Unfortunately, I do not work so I can't answer your question but I do know the answer about queen and servant and yada yada...
We make up nick names for ourselves. Mine is the offishal riddler because I post a riddle a day. I hope to see more of you on the board.

A riddle a day will keep the Marchers pounds AWAY!

Hi, Mary--
I had lap RNY on 3/2. Although I hear of people going back to work 1 week later, the average of comfortable time seems to be more like 2 weeks. If you have disability, days you can take, or can make arrangements, it's not out of the way to take a month. I wish I could, though I am set up to do a lot of things online. I have to go to a trade show week after next and plan to be going up to my hotel room to take lots of naps. It's not so much about feeling bad, but this is a lot to get used to and it's nice to focus on yourself and take lots of walks to help that first weight loss along. I had an unforseen complication, a kidney infection, so now at Day 11 was the first time I felt like going out. We went to a movie and I had the most fun, which I think is pretty good! One day out of the hospital, and before I started running a fever, it did some seem inappropriate to take a long walk in my neighborhood. Then being sick screwed that up.
