Can anyone tell me what happened to her?

I just checked her Journal and she just ended it with having surgery In August, nothing after that...but her e-mail is there...you could try to e-mail her. She is the lady that weighed 600 lbs, right?

Katy, You can get her story from her surgery support page as her daughter, Lisa and husband, Ken kept it updated. Warning it is very sad. Might not be a good idea if your fixing to have surgery. You must remember that her story is not the norm. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Betsy

Darlene passed away in late February.. Her body shut down. Not necessarily because of the surgery. Her starting BMI was 111 and she was older. There are far more success stories than tragedies.. Darlene was so courageous and brave and strong. I admire her more than anyone I have found on this site. I stay in touch with her daughter and she is thinking of writing a book using her mother's notes. I'll be the 1st in line for my copy!!!! Kathy
