Million thoughts are flowing through my head.....
Well, here I am... I've been trying to get the surgery for YEARS! And I just found out last week that I am approved! I am so excited and scared at the same time. All these years I've wanted it, but I think in the back of my mind I didn't think it would ever happen. After approval I called my doctor and they sceduled the surgery for March 30. Thats a mere 2.5 weeks after approval. No beating around the bush!!! I have butterfly's in my stomach thinking about it. But I know its the very best thing I can do for myself and my family. I can't wait to be an active mom! So if anyone has any advise for me, let me know. I am having an open RnY. One question I can think of is- Is the pain of this surgery anything comparable to a c-section? Just curious, I did fine with my two c-sects and was wondering if its worse than those. Thanks all, and goodluck to all who is another Marcher!!!!!
Congratulation on being a Marcher. It seems like the experience is different for everyone. I have done great. No pain at all after the first week (and I had a full open hysterectomy at the same time!). I can tell that things are still healing on the inside though and I am being very careful to do the right things. At less than 2 weeks post op, I am walking 2/3 mile and doing 20 min at a stretch on the gazelle.
You will do fine.

Shelly, I do not have any answers as far as pain because I had it laproscopically. However, congrats on your soon date and welcome to the Marchers!!
