My picture is finally up

Well, I'm going on Tuesday (I hope - still bucking this cold) and you can now see who you are chatting with. Anyway, really hoping and praying that a miracle happens here and my cold goes away. I now have laryngitis as well. I have to call the doc tomorrow to confirm my surgery time, and since it's just a head cold, and not in the chest, I'm hoping this will not affect my surgery date. I'm ready for this, and can't wait to get to the losing side!! mgm

Nice to meet you face to face! My day is Tuesday too...I am sure it will be a great day in our lives and a date worth celebrating year after year. Good luck to both of us!

Nice to meet you Marla. A friend of mine had the flu the week before surgery and they told her as long as it was not settled in her chest and she was not running a temp they would do surgery. They did surgery and she is fine 2 weeks later. Good luck, I hope you cold gets better overnight. Sugarplum Open RNY 3/16

Martha, Thanksyou soooo much for letting me know about your friend. I think I've been stressing over this cold more than anything else! I know God can work miracles and so much has already fallen into place so perfrectly, that I know He will take care of me, both with this cold and with the surgery. I had sevral near-misses with sinusitis/head colds, the last one was 4 days pre-op: can you say ZICAM?!? I'll kick up the prayers a notch. I know how dicey it can get when you feel those symptoms coming on...but don't worry about it, just take care of it. Besides...don't waste any precious adrenaline worrying about that 'little' stuff...you're gonna need ALL the adrenaline you can muster when that nurse comes in to take you for your first walk post-op!!
