6 days post op-Anyone need any support? Have ???'s Talk to me

I am doing a-ok. I was soooo nervous. I never had surgery before in my life, not even stitches. I didn't let it on to anyone though. I have been visiting this website for months pre-op, but now that it is all over I am ready to share my experience and talk to anyone about it. I am 21 yrs. old. Terrible genes. I had everything NOT going for me. 2 wks pre op I was 333 lbs and 5 ft. 8 in. I am SUCH an easygoing, and FUN person to talk to, so keep in touch everyone.

hi, congratulation on the success of the surgery. keep up the good work and hope that your recovery is quite and easy. hang in there. my day is coming up march 23. i am a little worried. not to bad tho i have had couple surgery before.

hi I am 4 days pre-op and very nervous. My doc said I need to quit smoking a week before my surgery. Any ideas of why? I have never been under anesthesia before and I am nervous.

Before you go in for surgery, they made me inhale thru a spirometer to see how full i could make my lungs. After surgery you have to breathe thru it to exercise your lungs. You are not going to want to cough or have a harder time breathing because it will hurt. I am sure you are needing a cigarette pretty bad right now, but hang in there because it will save you some pain later.
