On My Way
I am back home after my visit with Dr Thoburn before surgery tomorrow. My BP was sky high, never seen it that high. Everything is all set for in the morning, my GF is on her way here and when she arrives, we will head out back to the hospital. I have already booked the room for the night.
Had lunch with Mary and Joanna. Both having their surgeries next week and were at the hospital for all the pre-op test. So I had my final meal of Cajun Shrimp Alfredo, salad and those great biscuits from Red Lobster. We had a good visit, wished I had not had to cut it short to head home. Now I am on a liquid diet till midnight.
I talked to my sister on my cell phone on the way home. She and my neice will be at the hospital for my surgery. Then I stopped by my church to get some copies of some papers made and 2 ladies from my church will be at the hospital too, one of them had the same surgery 2 years ago. That was great news, and I got a hug from my pastor. I have a lot of people praying for me.
I just read about prayers for Carrie, please post when you know something so Mary can tell me tomorrow.
I made the doc laugh, I mentioned Mary's suggestion the she posted last night about starting the incision below the bra line. He says he has to work with what he's got and he starts just underneath the breast bone, whereever that lands. So if you are shorter,,it might be at the bra line. I also asked another question Mary and I had. Are we having the distol or the other RNY. He said neither. OK..whatever that means,,,he says it means we are having a regular RNY. OK.
The nutrionist was impressed that I already had my juice frozen for when I get home. When I get home from the hospital I am to have 4 oz per hour of clear liquids. MMMMM I understand that will be hard to do. We will see.
Well, again, thanks my friends for supporting me and helping me get to this point. I will meet all of you on the loosing side.
Mary, thanks for being my friend, supporter and Angel.

Hunney, it sounds like you're fully covered. I've been praying 'bout people being there for you at the hospital - sounds like those prayers were answered! Personally, I had several visitors, and the only one that I was 'good' with was "Shades", who had WLS in December: kneeling on my bed wanting to hurl but not being able too, being totally miserable just didn't upset her 'cuz she'd been there! I could have gone without visitors, but I know you wanted some, and I'm relieved that you'll have them there for you. But be assured, I've BEEN praying for my Sugarplum all day, will be praying hard tomorrow. You're in our Father's hands, and that's the safest place you could possibly be! I'll anxiously be watching the board for your update...
Love you bunches, Martha...you go in there and kick butt!!

WOW you seem so prepared for when you return home. I will miss you while you are gone and will be looking for you to be back on the boards. You always make me smile when I read your posts
I will be praying for you tomorrow. I am sure you will have a great surgery and a speedy recovery. See you on the lighter side.
