My first solo trip out of the house!
Hi Kimmer , This is my first time back on . I had my surgery 3-10-04 out 3-12-04. I stayed in Charleston, it's about 1 1/2 hrs from my home until this afternoon my dr cleared me to drive myself home. I feel almost as good as you but not quite. I have lost 14lbs in the last 5 days. My family lives in Michigan (all over) and thats where I was raised . Beautiful place to visit, but I take South Carolina's 68 degree any day . Any how I am so glad that your up and around GO MARCHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kimmer! Way to go girlie! I know I feel really good too and in fact have been able to sleep on my sides now (I was afraid to do so open....pulled a bit much). I haven't been out and about yet but will be travelling on Wednesday. Can't wait to see what my energy level is then. I know I feel pretty good now especially since I started ingesting some protein.
Isn't it incredible? Who would have thought this would have been this easy? I certainly wouldn't...

Kimmer,
You sound like me I had my wls surgery on March 4th, 2004 and my doctor recommended that I start driving in 2 weeks. I do not like to bother no one either. My first day of driving after my surgery was on March 9th had to take my daughter on a appointment and the person that I had asked to take me assured me that she will but she never showed up so I drove myself. I drive a Dodge Caravan. It was kind of hard to climb to the seat put I did because I am 5'4. I was like you a little sore the first time driving. But now I drive myself everywhere no soreness no more and my incisions have closed also. Take care and keep up the good work.

Girl you are too much!!
Felt great till last night, we watched America's Funniest Videos, damn kids. I laughed my butt off!!!
This morning I could not move. Not much better now.
Going to do the Treadmill tomorrow.
The food intake sucks, seems the best thing i like is the malt o meal. What are you eating for the day??
My kids are driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!
I finally wore a bra today, too. My bad incision was right were the big old boob layed. The bra was out of the question.
Good to hear that you are doing well.

Hey, Jen!!
I'm still on clear fluids thru tonite. Get to start on 'full fluids' tomorrow...funny how delicious runny mashed potatoes sound right now! What a digression from a Quiznos Mesquite Chicken Sub with extra banana peppers and raspberry chipotle!! But I'm gonna GRAB those potatoes for all they're worth!!
My first 'drink' after surgery was apple juice with protein powder in it. I thanked my surgeon for having them import apples from the Queens Orchards JUST to have apple juice made for me from the best tasting apples in the world. That was THE BEST apple juice I've EVER tasted!! He HOWLED! He's got such a good sense of humor...I'm so blessed that I have him.
I brought some logs into the house for tomorrow's crappy snow. Gonna be nice to sit and WATCH it snow in front of the fireplace and know that I don't have to go anywhere IN it!! Then Spring will hit next week, and Spring is my favorite time of year...I'm just so digging on the timeframe that I had this surgery...God had this planned right down to the DAY for me!
Bra? Cheez...I've been in nightshirts since I got home 'cept for my jaunt into the real world today, and I had on a baggy sweatshirt so no-bra-required then, either. Not looking forward to doing the bra thing again: I'm spoiled right now, it feels so-o-o good to go without!!
