Angel Questions.....

Ok, I am kinda new to the messageboard, and I am curious about the angels. I am having my surgery on 3-31 and here are my questions: 1 - How do you become an angel? 2 - Who becomes your angel? 3 - Does it depend on location for your angel? 4 - Do I have to do anything to have someone be my angel? If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

You become an angel by volunteering. Sometimes that's done by responding to posts like yours or it could be by you looking to see who has one and who doesn't and then privately e-mailing that person. Who becomes your angel depends on who you'd like. Kind of. If you see posts by someone that you think you'd like to be your angel you can e-mail them and ask. Someone may volunteer as a result of this posting, you never know. The location isn't important. What's important is that you put your angel on your contact list at the hospital so that when they call they can get an update. You should also be ready to give them the phone number of a friend or family member who will be at the hospital with you. This will help if there's a glitch at the hospital. You don't have to do anything for someone to be your angel. Well, except maybe ask! The important thing is when either choosing to be an angel or choosing an angel that their date is different enough from yours that they won't have had surgery yet or will be healed enough from it that they will be able to keep up with their (or your) angel duties. If you choose one that is close enough sometimes they will actually visit you while you are in the hospital. Another thing to consider is whether or not their spiritual views mesh well with yours. This is best explored through e-mail that way no ones feelings are hurt in the public forum here. If you don't have a preference then so much the better and just remember that there are a lot of Prayer Warriors here among the Marchers. If I have any of this incorrect and/or someone knows more, feel free to step in.... When I looked I didn't see a date for you. Do you have one? If so you'll want to figure out which week you are in. March 22nd is the first day of the fourth week and March 29th is the beginning of the fifth week. This week will also include April first and second. If you are in the fourth or fifth week you would want to look into the first and second week of March for an angel. Good Luck! OH! Your angel can also be someone like your husband, friend, or grown kids. They don't have to be on this site they would just post under your name for updates on your condition. Thank you for the information. I am having surgery 3-31, so I guess that is the 5th week. I just updated my profile to show my surgery date. I would love to have a angel to have someone to chat with that has been through all of this already. I am very thankful that there is a messageboard and wonderful people who are willing to offer advice and help to us newbies!!! Thank you again for all your help!!

If you scan through the 1st and 2nd weekers you will probably find some of the names you recognize from the board. Some are probably feeling well enough now to take on an Angelette.
