Sally, Libertyville, and Amanda

Sometimes I am amazed by the coincidences in our lives. For instance: My daughter, Amanda had her baby yesterday 3/15 at 9:30pm. He is a beautiful, healthy 8lb.2oz., 20" bundle of joy. Now here's where the coincidence is...I was at the hospital yesterday, all day. On the drive there w/my daughter and son-in-law, I saw that the hospital is in Libertyville. That's where Sally Bartelt lives, and she's having her surgery today at Condell Medical, the same place my daughter had her baby yesterday!!! Condell is really a beautiful hospital, and the doctor's are great. I'm sure Sally will do just great. I'm going down there to visit Amanda tonight, and I'll peek in on Sally to see how she's doing. By the way, spending all day at the hospital and not getting home til 1:00am wore me out!!! I'm totally wiped out today. I'm just starting to get some energy back. Hugs, Karen L. 3/11 RNY lap

It would be wonderful to have news of Sally. I remember she said she wasn't sure her boyfriend would be able to figure out how to post. (I related to this, I was afraid to let my husband send out email and had my daughter do it.) Congratulations! Babies are the best, the best, and the reason for getting healthy so that we can run after and with them. Gano

Congratulations, Grandma!! Of course you are tired. Birthing those grandbabies wears you out (even without just having had surgery)! I'm glad everything went well for Amanda and your grandson. Grandsons are SO wonderful. Mine is almost 2 and wears me out in about 20 minutes, but I love it! Joy -18 lbs/15 days

Thanks, Joy! I'm so thankful that the pounds will be melting away soon. Those Grandchildren do have alot of energy don't they? I remember going to the zoo w/them last summer, and I had such a hard time walking around...huffing and puffing. I'm so determined to gain back some of the energy of my youth by losing 100 lbs. I'm grateful to be on this journey so I can give more to my family, and have something left for myself, too. Thanks for the Congrats, Joy. Karen L.

So glad you got to be there for the birth of your grandchild. I know how important that is. Take it easy, tho, don't want to over do it. Whitney
