NEED TO VENT!!!
My clinic called today to say that my PCP was going to out on a medical leave on Friday so he couldn't do my pre-surgery physical and would I be comfortable having Dr. Shaik do the physical. I said no this is a major surgery and I cannot afford to have someone that is not familliar with my medical history do the physical. I tired to explain that this procedure has not been done at this hospital yet and that I can't just be brushed aside! (besides the fact that Dr. Shaik is a quack..explaination below)
So they said they'd call me in an hour to let me know what they've decided. So I am waiting......
The reason why doctor Shaik is a quack is; I went into see him about 5 years ago when I first started having anxiety problems. Not knowing what they were or anything about them I tried to schedule my visit with my regular PCP who was booked and naturally Dr. Shaik doesn't have many patience so I decided to go to him. After he listened to my heart and asked me a few questions, he told me that first I had to stop eating all those donuts and cakes. I said I don't eat them daily. He said well then can you explain the reason why you weigh so much? And then he told me that next time I felt the anxiety symptoms coming on I was supposed to focus on a flower and pray!!!
Lord help me maintain my composure!
Kellie the Bar Keep
6 days and livid!
Uhmmm, Kellie, I do not blame you at all for wanting your regular doc. This doctor sounds like he is
and secondly he does not need to be making rude comments like that. I would be insistant that they fit you in before your doc goes on medical leave.
Bethany AKA Da Offishal Riddler and Bertha
14 Days into NewPouch and feeling great!
-28 lbs!!!! Yayyyy
A riddle a day will keep the Marchers pounds AWAY!

The guy sounds like a quack! I know how it feels. I was supposed to have my surgery on Tuesday the tenth and they called me at 10:30 pm and told me they had to cancel. I cried and cried. But, I ended up with another surgeon the next day and he was awesome! I think even better than the other. So you never know. Something good may come out of it!
