What the heck kind of answer is this???!!! I called Sally's hospital to check to see if she's in recovery. They put me on hold, no family is waiting. So I ask her "Could you please tell me if she's in recovery or not?" "She may or may not be in recovery." Gee Thanks. :eyeroll: I think Ill call later on this evening, maybe she'll be in a room. :sigh:

Those HIPA laws are wreaking havok with our need to know! I spent an hour trying to order a prescription yesterday for my husband and the pharmacy did not want to talk to me! Good grief! Thanks for trying! Joy

I think the patients need to let the hospital staff know who they can give info to.

My hospital will tell them my condition and my room number unless I leave other instructions. What some might think about doing is saying 'my sister so and so will be calling from out of state. Can you please make sure she is given information?" Gayle Queen of Yarn Balls
