Less than 10 hours!!!!!
Holy Cow!!! Less than 10 hours before I check into the hospital! Not sure what time surgery is, but I'm assuming 7:00ish. Why else would I have to be there at 5:30 am?
Still not too nervous...just very emotional today. Crying at the drop of a hat. Tonight I'm just going to finish packing my bag and soak in the tub. I will be back in a few days to fill everybody in!!! Thanks for the prayers and messages I've been getting!
You are all so wonderful!!!!

I had to check in that early, too. I really liked it because my apprehension couldn't build up through the morning. And also, since you can't DRINK anything, who wants to hand around being thirsty.
I hope the same peace overcomes you that did me when it actually came to the moment. It felt like I had "done my time" worrying and being afraid and had it out of my system. Deep breaths, stay in the moment!

Hey Mickey!!! Welcome to the board!!! Ask anything ya like!!! As for words of encouragement... Keep your eye on the prize.. focus on the new healthier you and not the journey to get there... Take care of yourself and come here as often as you like...
We have several post ops and they seem to be doing so great you can't help but be encouraged!!!!!
My Angelette is only a week post op and has already been out shopping and walking on her treadmill and even getting her mail across the road everyday...
By the way.... being scared is totally normal!!! Some of us on the board aren't normal
but fear is absolutely expected!!!!!
Log on and talk to us!!!
