I went to the store today and started stocking up on some of the things I will need. I am so excited just 2 more weeks and 1 day and I will be a loser For some reason, it is like time is going very slowly...but that will probably change soon, I really enjoy reading everyones posts and can't wait to be a post-op..just thought I would share! Hey fellow marcher!!! My surgery is 3-31 too!!!! I am starting the shopping process too!!! I haven't went grocery shopping yet. I am still figuring out what to get!!! The time is going really slowly for me too!!!! I have the days marked on my calendar and it seems that the 31st is never going to get here. Good luck to you!!!!

Time does some very weird things (as do emotions) when you get closer to surgery. Relax with that as much as you can. All the provisioning I did really came in handy -- I was 3/2. I love my new robe and slippers. I used my little dishes and spoons and they made eating the soft foods so much more pleasant and felt like pampering myself instead of "having" to eat that. One thing I forgot -- adult strength Liquid Tyelonol. I ended up really needing it (running an atypical fever and also just didn't want to take narcotics anymore as they seemed too strong for my aches at home) and it's a bit hard to find. Usually a Walgreen's or Walmart, or someplace that stocks huge varieties of things. Pharmacists can also order it. Having my husband (who can't go to the grocery store and buy lettuce accurately even though he has a PhD.well I'll cut off the rant) was not fun. Stay as busy as you can. Most of us seem to have gone on a tear with spring cleaning and closet cleaning before the surgery. I loved having some things in my house in way better shape when I wasn't feeling all that great the first week home. I would look around and lie back and just feel satisfied. (But maybe your house is cleaner than mine. ) Gano
