OMG, my mouth tastes horrible!!
Ewwwwwww, man alive, who put this crappy taste in my mouth!!! *LOL*.. Its the worst... Slept in the recliner last night... feet down.... and sometimes feet up.. have kinda a sore shoulder today.> I got up every couple hours and walked like a good girl.. even coughed like the breathing people told me to.. *LOL*.. UGH.. this taste.. HELP!!
Lorrie, I got some of those listerine paper thingy's that melt in your mouth for the post op icky mouth thing. I got cinnamon ones, BUT I think the menthol overwhelms almost any flavor. I have only tried one but it's worth a shot!
Hugs,

doin' the 3 days and a wake up happy Mo dance (very carefully)

My taste isn't too bad....I have some of those cinnamon thingies too...but I was up and down all night. In bed with pillow, in the recliner with feet up, feet down, in my chaise, on the couch...can't wait until I am just comfortable. My shoulders both hurt....I am sort of headachey with the withdrawal of all the hospital goodies they put in my IV and now I have diarrhea.,.....but it is only 3 days Post op for me and 4 for you....so we have to give it time.
I called it migratory sleeping. I could not stand more than 2 hours in any one position. And there was usually only one position that worked in a place, so I spent the first 10 days moving from my bed, to the recliner, to the couch, to the guest bed, back to my bed.
Suddenly, when you can turn over comfortably it gets better. May not take 10 days for lap, but either way, it will get better!

Well Lorri - you have just been introduced to KETOBREATH. Welcome to weight loss.
The taste and smell of ketobreath comes from ketosis which is what happens when you either low-carb like Atkins or eat very little like with our new pouches.
Best thing you can do is brush your teeth and keep drinking liquids. Water tends to feel dry on my tongue with ketosis, but having a little flavored water or tea will help that. Mints/breath strips can help for short periods of time.
