I'm home and 8 days post op. I haven't got a handle on the drinking. I know that I'm way short, but I'm starting to get a handle on meals and snacking. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to everyone for their well wishes. It has helped to make this a much more comforting journey. My best to all. Cheryl

Welcome home Cheryl! I one day from you and having the same issues with drinking. We'll get there though. The thirst kicks in at some time and will eventually remind us, I do believe. Dina

Welcome home Cheryl, and congrats! I'm 8 days post op too and I'm doing ok with liquids, I just carry a water bottle around all the time and sip, sip, sip. The thing I'm having a hard time with is getting in my protein shakes. I usually have one in the morning aroun 10, and that's it. I'm not getting my other two in. Today I promised my husband i'd try harder so I get some strength and energy back. Karen

Hi Karen! Glad to hear that it went well for you. I sympathize completely with the protein drinks. They just taste awful to boot! I'm trying to get in a "Snapple a Day" as well. That's 7-9 grams of protein in 11 ounces and it doesn't taste as bad. My angel also sent me the link below for protein products and I've just ordered one. I've been watching for you! Glad you came through OK. Keep working on the drinking and eating. It is odd to think that after a lifetime of trying NOT to eat, now we have to try TO eat! The fluids are important to your health and weight loss. Glad to hear from you! Joy -20 lbs / 18 days
