My date has changed!

I went for my preop yesterday and found out my surgery will be next Thursday 03/25/04. 6 days away!!! I am really really excited. And I am struggling to get a grip on the fear. I try not to dwell on the statistics or ng tube or anything like that. I just tell myself it'll be worth it in the long run. It seems everyone I talk to has no regrets. The statistics I was given say 1 in 200 die from stomache stapling....where is the 1? Even those who have had complications have no regrets.

WOw, Kymberly, isn't it exciting to have a date change! My date was changed to a week earlier! Try not to worry...everything is going to be OK!!!

I agree with your thinking. The NG tube is nothing. Most of them go in and come out while you are asleep. You will be out of it the day of surgery nothing will bother you(isnt that great!). All will be well and you will be a loser in no time. LaDonna -22 myette-->Teri
