Home again Home again Jigity Jig
Hunnies I'mmmmmmmm Home.
I've been reading about staying positive in one of the posts by Gayle, that is soooo true. Be positive and pray. When my doctor could feel the power of prayer from you people, it was totally awesome.
After telling my surgeon the day after surgery that I could not believe how good I felt, he said in my case, 50% of it was my positive attitude.
He did have somewhat of a complication he said, my stomach was way up in my chest, so he had to 'pull that down' and get it achored in place, so surgery took longer than anticipated.
Final word pre-ops, stay focused and stay positive, that is so important.
I am sitting here at home, in my street clothes, drinking a yummy banana protein shake and I will be ready for company coming later, and I feel wonderful.
Love ya

No, I had it lap, he didn't go into detail about how he did it, just that he had to do it. That will be a question when I meet him for my first post-op.
I do know though that he doesn't use any scrub nurses working next to him when he does a procedure, there is alway 3 other doctors in there with him acting as his aides. A nurse told me that.
Another thing about him is pre-op I did not have to do any protein shakes, or any special diets, and I had no bowl prep, he doesn't want us to lose electolites or get dehydrated. Also for lunch today before I came home, I had mashed potatoes with gravy, pureed chicken, beets, all pureed of course and in very small quantity, plus some other stuff on my tray that I could not eat, as I was too full. He won't discharge us until we can tolerate pureed foods.
Pretty amasing, isn't it. He is a marvelous sergeon, I told him I had heard he was the best on doctor on this planet, he is so modest, he got embarrassed.
