Irish Lassie here...Home at last!!!!
I would have got on yesterday and let everyone know that I was home. By the time I got here I was sooooo tired (60 mile trip) so I just took it easy. I am home and I didn't have such a hard go at it. I was in surgery by 11:00a.m. through 2:00p.m.. I was up an walking the halls by that evening. I have been making sure I stay on top of my walking and sipping.
For all you pre-ops..walk..walk..walk..it will make the difference between being sore and being in pain.
I will post more later.

Mo, best of luck tomorrow. I am 2 weeks post-op and can't believe how good I feel. My best advice to you is to walk as soon as possible post-op and as often as possible every day thereafter. Also, do the breathing thing at the hospital -- the little gadget where you have to suck in the air to strengthen your lungs. Do that as much as possible, as hard as possible. These two things contributed most to my successful healing thus far. Be prepared for pain when you wake up and the day after. Breath through it and stay calm. On the 3rd day you will feel like a new person. I even showered! God bless, and will see you on the other side. Best, Maureen
