My first real milestone
It's not a big one, mind you, but it's a milestone nonetheless that I'm so excited about!!
I got into a pair of my old jeans that I haven't been able to zip up since before my baby was born last February. So - technically, I've not been able to wear these jeans for about 2 years. I had tried them on (in vain) a couple of weeks before surgery because I "thought" maybe I had shed a few pounds worrying about the surgery itself, but couldn't get the damn things zipped. I kicked them into a corner in my closet, and they remained there until this morning. I thought - well, WHEN they don't fit, I won't get mad - it's just a matter of time, but lo and behold, I got them up over my butt, button and zipped and was able to wear them. I have to say - my husband about fell over when I came out of the bedroom. I've just been wearing slouchy pajama pants and t-shirts since the surgery (due to the incision), so this was a shock to see something form fitting on me. I was SO hoping I'd run into someone I knew today, but didn't. Having some friends over for cards tonight, so I hope that they'll notice my shrinking figure. I was just SO excited! Yippee!!
Y'all have a great weekend!

P.S. Oscar the Pouch doesn't like Meat or Blackeyed Peas so far. He wants to yak, but I won't let him!
