2 wks post with left side pain

I know I saw some posts about this last week, but couldn't seem to find them again. I know this is normal - all anesthesia is finally out of the system. Just wondering for those that experienced the same thing, about how long before all pain was gone? mgm

If it is soreness with some swelling, it is just your insides still healing. If it is getting worse or is a sharp pain or if you are running fever, you need to call your doctor. The healing part should be getting increasingly better. Joy

Thanks Joy - I know it's the insides healing. It's just annoying, although it is probably what is reminding me to keep to my lifting limit as well. A constant reminder to not overdo mgm

I am also more sore on the left side. My surgeon said its because that is where the muscle is that they have to cut through when doing the surgery. He said it would get better slowly. The muscle has to recover. You might want to just check with your surgeon anyway just in case... Kelley
