a month out, doing well, just EXHAUSTED
Hello everyone,
Has anyone gotten that big surge of energy yet that so many post-ops told us would happen after surgery? I am still waiting. I feel energetic for about the first 20 minutes of walking, then I want to go take a nap.
I have a week and a half before I return to work and the fatigue worries me. I feel GREAT otherwise
and I am 40 lbs down. but the fatigue is a worry. ANYONE? When does the big surge of energy come?

Hi Sherrie,
I am still waiting for energy. I am One month out myself. Working on my 5th week out. I have been not so great at getting in my protein which is most likely why. But I still get tired very very quick and haven't seen any kind of burst of any energy. Still have my fingers crossed that it will happen soon
Best Wishes

I'm exhausted, too, in fact I envy you those first 20 minutes. I'm struggling not to let that keep me from exercise. I will be five weeks out on Tuesday. From all the bios I have read, I believe it is from the first rapid weight loss phase and lasts about two months (more brief for some lucky folks). Uping protein is good, as is water. If you have done all that, it's just the surgery and huge amount of weight you're dropping. I can't weight for the "I want to do everything phase." I am sure not there yet. I'm going to bed an hour earlier and it's helping a tiny amount.
