Hi Marchers I am now on soft foods, I had a 1/4 piece of a grilled cheese sandwich today, I was wanting to know, will we be evenutally able to eat crossiants? I like the bacon & egg crossiant at Burger King, I am losing weight but am hardly eating at all but once a day because the protein drink and water fills me up, I am down 21 pound now. Have you had bread yet? Thank you Tori

Tori, Although I will eventually be able to have it (after week4), do I really want it? No, especially after reading an earlier post today regarding carbs and the impact they have on burning the fat. I like those sandwiches also, but I'd rather opt to take it apart and just eat the egg, cheese and bacon. mgm

Wow I am jealous...grilled cheese sounds good. I am still on a liquid diet. But Tuesday I get moved up to "pureed foods"....which sadly is very exciting!! Good Luck and God Bless!!! w/love Annie

do you know that you can puree your grilled cheese sandwich? cheeseburger? french toast? i haven't gotten to puree yet but my nutrion info from btc gives me directions for this..... as for the croissants--oh gosh how i love them--and can probably attribute at least 25 # of the 110 i need to lose to them!!!! so----no--i don't think so for me!

I hear ya! I am still on liquids as well and anything sounds exciting to me. Anything other than broth, jello, etc! I'm hopefully coming off of liquids on April 8th though. That's only 2 weeks of it for me. I don't know how you did 3 weeks. God Bless you for your strength in doing that!!

I've had bread. I made a "sandwich" out of a slice of whole wheat bread, which I toasted and smushed because I wanted to try to minimize expansion of the bread in my pouch, a slice of deli turkey and a slice of low-fat American cheese. It's 151 cal, 4g fat, 16g protein. I eat between 1/2 and 3/4 of it, depending. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissanwich is 360 cal, 22 g fat and 15g protein. I know you won't be able to eat a lot of it but that's a pretty lousy fat to protein ratio. The croissant alone is 7g fat, 5g protein. http://www.burgerking.com/Food/Nutrition/NutritionWizard/index.aspx You may find that when you're ready to try it, you don't want it as much. Take care, Jen
