weird

Sometime I feel really bad because I am doing so well...is that weird or what. Like I hear other people's stories about surgery....about their pain and long line of staples. I had a 3inch site from my open RNY(which was closed by disposible stiches), and VERY MINIMAL pain....at the hospital I believe the highest number I used to describe my pain was a 4!!! The really weird part is I don't even feel like i've had surgery...well aside from the 3weeks of liquids only!! Can anyone make sense outta this?? Annie

You are not alone. I had surgery the same day, have a 3.5 inch scar that was "glued" with no stitches or staples, and I had no drains, or tubes and also came home without any pain medication needed at all. Didn't even use it much the second day in the hospital. I feel like I have had surgery mainly because of twinges in the incisional site and my energy is not back 100% but as far as problems or pain....it is as good as it gets. I am very lucky.
