I am home!!!!

Queen and all others: Yes I was last being fanned and fed grapes. Then Juanita developed a leak and I was sent back to the hospital. I am now being fed via a g-tube until Juanita recovers. Glucerna and water. Sound like fun? I have lost 23 pounds already. I go back to Colombia the first week in May to have the barium swallow and if everything is lovely then I will have the G-tube removed. I feel great other than having to have food through a g-tube. Sorry I haven't checked in as of late but the complications set me back 3 days so I am just now getting home. Anybody else have this problem? Just wondering...... My blood pressure is normal, blood sugars are normal, I am in virtually no pain. My incision is starting to itch a little and I developed a nasty case of yeast infection on parts unknown because of the antibiotics I was on...lol. Other than that I feel like a million bucks. Thanks for all the support while I was gone. It was a great experience in Colombia. They treated me like a king while I was over there and the level of care and treatment medically was just as good as in the states. So in a nutshell, the manservant to the queen is recooping and trying to get Juanita all better so that she may enjoy a little broth or juice shortly. Take care my fellow Marchers and I will try better to keep you posted.

Gary - we've missed you! So glad you're back in the states! Sorry you're having some problems. I'm glad that you aren't in any pain, though. Thanks goodness for small miracles, huh?!? Welcome Home Gary!!! WOW I will never complain about having to drive too far for a dr's appt again!!!! You did your own version of WLS Survivor and now you have to go back! They must have treated you really well over there! Good to see ya home and hope Juanita starts behaving for ya!!! Congrats!!!

Gary! I am so sorry you developed a leak but am thrilled you came through okay. I can't wait until you get your g-tube out and get to eat something. Holy cow - how rough! Can you drink water at all? I hope you are able to at least sip a little. As for your experience in Colombia - I'm glad it was good. I had a great experience in Ensenada, Mexico also. As for the yeast infection - got one of those to show from the antibiotics myself. Yuck! Please keep us posted about how you are doing. As you feel up to it, please join in! Dina

Whew!!! I was so worried that a Queen from another kingdom had found you and enslaved you for herself. Glad to hear that you are here with us. Sorry about the troubles you are having. I will pray for your recovery and hope that you get better real soon. I know that our Queen was missing you terribly (I think that it just exhausted her to wipe her own brow) Whitney
