I want you to celebrate with me on another new start! Tomorrow is my last day at my job in IT. I am officially retiring! I have been with this company for 18 years. The job has been a financial blessing, especially during a period when my husband was the victim of downsizing and corporate mergers twice in 5 years as our kids started college! But the stress level has gotten terrible, and I have been on call 24 hours a day way longer than I needed to be. The technology was challenging when I was younger, but has become frustrating to keep up with as I have gotten older. Life is just too short to waste on spending that many hours doing work I hate. Maybe it was WLS that gave me the courage to think that way. Anyway, for the last few years, we have been arranging finances to find a way to live without me working. Hopefully my new business will bring in enough for play money (travel), but I am excited to be able to invest time in things I want to do. It is a bit scary, but I am getting another new start on life. I pray that I will get it right! Thanks for sharing my happiness... Joy

Hey girl! Congratulations on the retirement. I'm so impressed that you've arranged your finances in such a way that you can take this opportunity to do something that you love. That in and of itself is worth praise. Enjoy your last day. Revel in it!! Best wishes for a happy, successful and long retirement!! Hugs, Wendy

YES, YES, YES, life is way too short to spend so many hours, days, months, years, in an unfulfilling and exhausting cir****tance. You go, girl! What's the update on the moisturizer you're using on your face skin post-surgery? Is it working? M.

I am so happy and excited for you. My husband retired in May and we are in the process of rearraging financing to see if I can retire early. With the settlement on mom's estate in the near future and the equity in the 2 houses we have, we just might be able to swing it early.
