Just can't stand this anymore. I am eating like a bird...less than what a bird eats. Following all the rules. Haven't lost an ounce in over a week. Just don't understand, getting to the point where I just feel completely despondent about this whole thing. I don't think this is going to work for me...Maureen

Maureen -- You just stop that stinkin thinkin. It will work. Its finally working for me again and I went through a 2 week plateau. The weight is coming off much slower now, but its going...down down down, at about a 1/4 - 1/2 pound a day. Patience darling. The best thing I did for myself during the plateau is started to double my exercise. I upped my walking to 45-50 minutes because I was gonna kick that plateau's ass. Not sure if it helped but it at least made me feel like I was doing something. It will come...I promise! Lissa

I hear ya - I'm still on my 3 week plateau. My DH took the scale out of the house because I was about to get violent. I'm not going to weigh myself until tomorrow - my one month anniversary. I'll take measurements as well, so hopefully I'll see some improvement at some point. The sad thing is, is that I should be starting my period this week, so I have a feeling that will be reflected on the scale (bloating!). Hang in there and know you are not alone. I have a feeling that I'm going to be the one person this surgery does NOT work for and I'm going to be looked upon as a failure to those who know I had this surgery. I kinda wish I would have never told anyone at this point. I'm trying to walk every other day briskly for 30 - 45 minutes. Since I don't have a scale right now, I don't know if it's helped or not. I'm assuming not. We're in this for the long haul, though - right??? It didn't get on our bodies overnight, so it's not going to come off overnight... Good luck! -Wendy

Wendy, you are always so positive and I thank you for that. I have let my walking program go and I'm sure that is contributing to the problem. Will try to get back on track today. Thanks so much. Maureen

Jamie, I am drinking tons of water and eating at least 50 grams of protein a day. In fact, protein is all that I'm eating, no veggies, not starches (except in my beans), no fruits. I have to start walking again but I was stalled even when I was walking 1.5 miles a day. Thanks for your help. Maureen

I'm right there with you. Not loosing an ounce in a long time. actually I GAINED A POUND!!! But I have been slacking on the 3's the water protein and walking. I am going to go to the store to pick up some more protein drinks. I have been drinking more milk and yogurt (carb free atkins and dannon carb free) that gives me some protein but has more calories. Also have been cheating and eating these Herrs Nachitas nacho chips that go down like liquid. They are TOOOO easy to eat and I can eat quite a few chips so thats a big NO NO for me. Although I still am under 1000 a day more like 500 or 600. which I should loose but I need to get back on the 3's. Best Wishes! It will happen for us!!! Chins up! Elizabeth M

Thanks Elizabeth. I haven't cheated at all. Am eating between 500-800 calories a day.

Reenie: Did you measure before surgery and have you measured since? It could be that this time you are loosing inches rather than weight. Check it out. I have lost 3 inches in my bust, midrib, waiste and hips each.
