I'm not lookin' for a ******g match here, but I just re-read all this, and I have to agree with Shannon -- you seem to 'have it out' for Kathy. Whuzzup with that? Altho I don't post here everyday, I read everything here daily, and today is the first time you've been around in ages...jumped right in the middle of a big misunderstanding between a couple of Marchers (that, BTW, was resolved in private long before the end of this thread). I understand that you're accustomed to debate boards...debate was a favorite area of mine from jr. high school thru to my present job. Debate is one thing, and we do a LOT of debating here -- friendly debating. But outright warfare is something completely different. Seldom does a day go by when there's activity on this board that there isn't a disagreement or a difference in opinion, but it never becomes rabid! This is not one of those boards. It's odd that some keep pounding Kathy that she hasn't had her WLS yet. And? So? Neither have you, and neither did a lot of us...'til a few weeks ago. Why is that the only thing that some people can 'come up' with on this board when they get a bee in their bonnet about something Kathy has said? It's just like when little kids fight, and they run out of ugly things to say to each other, and they stutter and stammer, and then finally one will come up with "....umm...ah....welll....you're just a stupid head.", and thus ends their childish fight, and they all take their toys and go home. I realize most Marchers don't know what's going on behind the scenes with Kathy's WLS (her profile doesn't reflect everything...), but none-the-less, that should no more be an issue here than anything else: this is the ASSOCIATION FOR MORBID OBESITY SUPPORT / OBESITY HELP, not "WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY HELP". If this were strictly for WLS people, a bunch of HIGHLY valued and respected users (from the main board, etc) wouldn't be on here. Not everyone has had or wants WLS... Like I said, Jessica, I'm not lookin' to stir things up here, but wowzer, where did all that hatred come from? I realize that you're on other forums on OH, and that they're not as diverse as this one is, like the "Over 50s" forum is pretty much all "happy happy joy joy" stuff, etc. I read many, many OH forums. Some forums are simply mind-boggling. But this board, the Marchers, is like a family...we sometimes scrap, we occasionally fight, we usually disagree, but we all kiss and make up again, just like my siblings and I have done for years (I don't know if you have any siblings...). Most of us have grown together. That's the dynamic of this board: it's become a family, and family dynamics apply here. Anyhoo, that was just for what it's worth...I guess I just don't see where your anger is coming from. I understand being opinionated - we all are. But being rabid and hateful is different...and LOOKING for a fight with a specific person is, I guess, your choice, but it's not beneficial to anyone. Oh I agree Jessica, Kathy has motives for being here all right. If you read her profile you'll see more examples of this bad behavior than you can shake a stick at. She hassled her doctor's office until they finally cut her loose. I guess they didn't like putting up with this kind of crap either. She lashes out hatefully and unprovoked and then thinks just because people don't post back telling her to shut the **** up that no one really feels that way.
