$64,000!
Yup, Lynn...
Fibromyalgia under control, all cholesterols/triglycerides/ldl/hdl now within normal ranges (after only 5 weeks), not having to worry 'bout being stroke-bait, knowing I'll never be on those AWFUL meds again 'cuz my endocrine system was so far out of whack....PRICELESS INDEED!!!
Then, on top of it all, having lost 30 lbs so far with a pretty good assurance that I'll lose much more before it's over (even tho losing weight is here nor there to me)...BONUS!
That first post 'bout Lee's $64K bill really DID make me sit down and think "If you knew that in order to attain your goals and 'fix' your endocrine system to get back to being healthy (1st paragraph above) you'd have to put out $64K, would you do it?" HECK yes...twice, if I had to. I think the only ones *****ally know and appreciate the relief and total JOY I have now that my first post-op blood tests have come back 'normal' are my Mom, best friends, and the Lord. And even with them, I never told my Mom or friends 'bout the horrific meds I'd been put on to lower my cholesterols...I was advised to take 'em at nite so if I got sick on 'em, I'd be 'hurling' in my own toilet at MY home. Those 6 months on the meds were just awful...I was 'seasick' the entire time. I didn't tell anyone 'cuz I didn't want 'em worrying 'bout me. But the 6 months' worth of meds did next to NOTHING...and this surgery already returned me to 'normal' levels in just 5 weeks. No more stroke-bait here!
Yup...somehow I'd come up with the money. It's saved my life.
PRICELESS!!

I have a 30 percent co-pay on my insurance...
The hospital billed $26,000 I paid about $1900.
I had to pay my portion of the surgeon fees up front the day before surgery IN CASH! $850.
I have yet to get the anesthesia bill... I can only imagine what that might be.
I've never spent better money in my whole life
