WLS Tax Deductible Info - help!
I was putting away papers today and hit the PILE of all my WLS stuff - receipts, recipes, surgical well-wishes, etc. It dawned on me that quite a while back, someone had posted something about how our WLS can be claimed on our taxes next year. Well, if that's gonna happen, I have to know what I'll need, and had better get it all in order from the start, 'cuz from the PILE of stuff I already have, if I let it go 'til later, it'll be beyond sortation.
Whomever posted that great info 'bout this, could I HUMBLY ask (beg)that you re-post it? I AM SO SORRY!! It had to have been around the 2nd week in March that it was posted 'cuz it seems that it was right around my surgical date and I figured "I'll get back to this later". Well, with these slug 'puters I have, it'll take me the rest of the week to go back only a few pages of our posts.
I'll buy you a new car if you'll repost that info for me. (Alright, I'm lying...I don't have the dinero to even buy ME a new car, but I really need that info, so I'll return the favor somehow...
).
I's sowwy...

Hi Kimmer~
I do know something about that since I paid cash for my surgery and will be using the tax deduction to pay for part of it. I know if you do a search for "gastric bypass tax deduction" lots of articles pop up. Also, you can go to www.irs.gov and type in obesity and I think there are some links to the medical deduction.
Hope that helps and BTW I have been wanting a new Volvo cross country wagon in black
