I've been following this message board a few weeks but haven't seen this addressed yet.My husband is 7 weeks out from his surgery & has lost 42 lbs.He is very depressed though because he experiences nausea every afternoon or evening.Sometimes he will vomit but only brings up some mucous, but most of the time he just feels very nauseated. He is measuring his intake so doesn't take in more than 3-4 ounces at a time.Has anyone gone through this? I hope it is just a phase.Any insights or suggestions from any of you would be most appreciated.

I have the same problem periodically. We traced it to my forgetting to take my Nexium in the am. My doc prescribes it to all his post-op patients, and he said I will be on it the rest of my life. When I forget to take it, that's how I feel, and I get the foamy mucusy stuff coming up. He should ask his Dr about it. mgm -40

Erna, Hi, my name is Samantha... I am about 6 weeks out. I definatly have experienced this same thing. I am feeling better since I began my B12. I also still throw up and it is mostly mucus. I hope your husband feels better soon. Sam

I have the same thing. I'm about 6 weeks out but I feel it 24/7. My doctor is stumped and thinks I may have an ulcer. But the mucus thing is crazy that's all that comes up. I wish I could just barf and be done with it, I'd probably feel better! Kellie the Bar Keep
