Shrimp/Crab Spread
The family is gathering at my sister's house for Mother's Day and we all will be bringing something to eat. I threw together something last night that came out pretty well so thought I'd share it. I'm sorry, but I never measure so you'll have to forgive me.
Chopped shrimp
Crab (I used imitation, because I didn't want to waste the real crab I have in the freezer if it didn't turn out. Next time I'll use the real stuff.)
1/2 Reduced fat cream cheese and 1/2 no fat cream cheese
Enough reduced fat sour cream to make it spreadable
garlic powder
minced garlic
parsley
chives
minced pickled jalapeno (I like things with a kick)
What I threw together made about a cup and a half. My best guesstimate based on FitDay.com is that a cup and a half has about 50 grams of protein, 25 grams of fat and 23 grams of carbs. Of course no one's going to eat a cup and a half of this stuff.
