Good news about Rob!!

Hi everyone, I went to see Rob both days this weekend. Saturday was a real bummer because he was still unconscious. I felt discouraged. Then yesterday he was awake! The drugs finally had left his body. It was such a relief. He could shake his head yes or no, wiggle his toes on command, and make eye contact. In fact, when I told him we were going down to the cafeteria for lunch and would be back later, he actually looked at me and rolled his eyes. So, Rob is back! He is still on the ventilator and they have a ways to go on weaning him off that. He was trying to talk and pull the tube out, which I took to be good signs. He was moving his arms and legs on his own. I think waking up and moving around is bound to strengthen his lungs and enable him to get off the ventilator soon. He still is running a low grade fever and so they are keeping the remaining two drains in place. His mom will be going to see him every day this week and I will keep you updated on these new positive developments. Yay for Rob! Kat

Oh thank Goodness...Rob must definatly have an angel or two watching over him and it looks as if the prayers are being answered. Stay strong, it sounds like he is on his way back.

Hey Kat Yippppeeee Skipppeeee, Sleepyhead is waking up, that is W O N D E R F U L N E W S!!! I am soooooooo happy, I have tears in my eyes, and lots of love in my heart along with a overwheling feeling of thanksgiving for prayers answered.
