Tuesday Rob Update

Hi everyone, Kat here with the Tuesday Rob Report. They are removing the remaining two drains. The infections have cleared up. Yay! Breathing and the ventilator continue to be the issue. Today they were experimenting with putting him in an oxygen tent for periods of time. He tends to hyperventilate. They are also trying to find the happy medium with sedation: not too drugged so he can't follow commands, but not too awake so he gets agitated and starts breathing too fast. His mom was very exhausted today. I wish she would take some days off and not go in every day. Please keep her in your thoughts. Kat

How absolutely wonderful! He has been in my every thought and my heart goes out to him and you and the rest of the family. Who knows -- I might see if I can come visit this summer as I venture across the state to visit my mom. I just KNOW he will be breathing on his own soon and giving the hospital staff a run for their money Best wishes! Lissa
