Sharon, I had my surgery 3/22. I will get weighed when I see the Dr this Thursday. At my one month appointment I had lost 20 pounds. I really don't think the scale has moved more than about 5 pounds since then .. BUT I can see a huge difference in my clothes and my appearance, so the numbers on the scale are just that, numbers.

I'm 7 weeks today. I just broke a 3 week platue. I lost 6 this week which brings me to 32 lbs. I think I'm a slow loser also.

Sharon, I read your profile and couldn't tell how much you have lost so far. However, I found your post dated 5/2/04: Posted at 8:02 AM PST on 05/02/2004 How many carbs are good to eat to keep losing? I know I am eating too many carbs, drinking not enough water and not exercising enough. Maybe adding more water, exercise and protein will help. Also, my surgeon told me to expect my first plateau sometime after the first couple weeks of weight loss as my body adjusts to the surgery and new eating patterns. Remember, when we are not losing pounds, we are losing inches. Hang in there, your body will even out soon. My surgeon said it takes about 6 months for the body to fully adust to the shock of the surgery, the changes in eating patterns and the nutritional modifications between the pre-op and post-op diet. Try to be patient, it has only been six weeks...your journey has just begun. Sierra

At six weeks I had lost 31 lbs. I am at 10 weeks now and have lost 37. It is slow, but it is still going the right direction. Hang in there! Joy

Talk about a slow slow lose. I am a bit over 8 weeks out and have only lost 25 pounds. 25 is much better than nothing. I think.........

I had my surgery on 3-9-04 and I have lost 43 lbs as of 5-9-04. I try not to weigh myself but once a month because the scales change everyday. One day will be 3 lbs less and the next day will be 4 lbs more. I have been nore satisfied with my weight loss only weighing on my anniversary day! Also I haven't measured in a while but on 4-9-04 I had lost a total of 27 3/4 inches. Anyways, be patient because the weight will come off! Kim
