True Confession
OK, it's true conession time now. My total time in the gym since surgery has been about an hour. Make that 45 minutes. I haven't walked like I'm supposed to. I've been a slug. So what do I do tonight? I go and take an hour of intermediate step aerobics. Not regular aerobics, not beginning aerobics, not even beginning step aerobics, but INTERMEDIATE STEP. Am I insane? I'm a couch potato by nature! I made it through the ENTIRE class, but it kicked my butt. So I'm going on the record right here and now. Making a vow. Promising all the Marchers. My rear end will be in an aerobics class no less than 3 times a week from now on.

Ok this is terrible since we are confessing... last night.....during dinner....I poured my son this glass of giner ale ...now the ginger ale had somewhat frozen in the fridge and it was icy and sparkly in the glass...well...I just couldnt resist...after dinner was over a little while later I indulged and risked half a glass of that icy ginger ale goodness!!! OH MY GOSH was it good!!! so I was ready to pay for it...and nothing happened. Must stay away from ginger ale from now on!!!!!!! I hate that I can tolearate anything
cept' cottage cheese for some strange reason.

The target heart rate for excercising is:
60-80% of (220 - your age)
For me, being 30, that means my target heart rate is 114 - 152.
I went to step class, and when we took our heart rate, my pulse was 19 beats in six seconds... that comes out to 190 bpm - notice, that's my theoretical max heart rate. I guess one more beat per minute and my head would have exploded.
I was okay, but please remember to monitor yourself and be careful. The education and quality of instructors varies - clearly mine was a doofus! And drink water.

I did step today, and do it a few times a week plus weight lifting. I am not bragging because that is one of the only things I am proud of myself for accomplishing so far. I confess that I think I eat too much and don't usually get in ALL my fluids. Now I have big legs naturally and my calves are still nothing but muscle (even after becomming MO) so I am afarid that step wioll make my legs bigger and not allow me to lose in calves...any idea's on this?????????????????
