Rob Update for Thursday

Hi everyone, More good news about Rob! He is spending a couple of hours sitting in a chair three times a day. He has periods of alertness as the drugs wear off. Yesterday he breathed room air for a few hours with only pressure support from the ventilator. A speech therapist will be teaching him how to talk with the trach tube in his throat. Aren't you curious what he will have to say?? I sure am!! What a relief to have good reports to share. Finally some progress! Kat - still enjoying that birthday glow

That is so wonderful!!!! He will probably have some humorous story to tell! I am so thrilled that he is getting back to himself finally. Tell him that he has had more prayers going for him than calls voting for American Idol! Can't wait til he can get to a computer! Joy

Thats Wonderful news Kat! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers, I know it will be a big change for him to learn how to talk through the tube but Thank God he is here and able to learn. My heart goes out to you all for all that you all have had to endure! God Bless you all! Mary

I am so happy that Rob is doing so well. He will be back with us very soon. But just because Rob gets back here with us dosen't get you off the hook Kat. We all still want to hear from you. May God bless you all. Sarah T.

Kat that is wonderful news!!! I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers, because we had surgery on the same day I think of Rob often and remind myself that we should never take anything for granted. I look foreward to hearing Robs account of his journey. Hope your birthday was great!! Trish
