Hi there! I am still sround although now that I am back to work and its the end of the school year and my DH is out of town for his work I am swamped! So far I have lost 47 pounds and I am thrilled! what I have noticed is that if I don't work out about every other day I don't loose anything. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't mind because I did discover I LIKE working out! But dang I wanted to loose without having to work hard at it for longer than 2 weeks. At 3 weeks post op I started walking miles on the treadmill and now if I don't ... the scale stays the same until after I do! I am VERY impsired by all of you that had surgery at the beginning of the month! sometimes it seems like you are YEARS ahead of me instead of just afew weeks! I am sorry to be down, but it is hard trying to do EVERYTHING by yourself and keep work up and the house clean and the laundry and get DH's stuff ready for his next trip...ugh...I am tired! hugs! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! ~NIC

You are really doing well. Mine was 3-7-04 and I have only lost 45. I go in to the gym about 4 times a week. Because of arthritis, I can not do treadmill. I do about 30 minutes on bicycle then about 15 different weight machines. My loss has been very slow the last few weeks as I had lost 31 the first three weeks. I always wonder if I am eating too much or too little. Too many carbs or too few carbs. Too much weights or too little exercise.

I with you. A friend joined me up for Curves yesterday for my birthday. I think I'm gonna like it but I know I'm very lazy and will have to really push myself to make myself go. But I don't wanna screw the opportunity to let the surgery do its thing to the best of its ability.

Nic, So sorry you are feeling so swamped. I understand the stress it puts you through... That also may be a part of why you dont loose anything when you dont work out...stress causes weight gain and water retention and when you exercise its a stress release! You hang in there you are doing awesome! You are 28 days after me and only 6 pounds under me. I need to really start getting serious about exercise!!! I walk but nothing real strenuous. I need to get on the ball! You go girl your an inspiration to be working so hard with the exercise and tackling all the other stuff you are doing. Wish ya the best! Elizabeth M
