I just found out I will be getting laid off w/in the next 4-6 weeks I want to cram in a bunch of dr visits before then. Any suggestions on types of tests I should have done besides blood work? I know it's common to have gallbladder and kidney problems w/in the year following wls. I'm glad to atelast have gotten the surgery before all this but I can't afford any complications w/o insurance! I only have insurance til the end of the month, so I got liver and kidney function tests, all the lab work, a pap smear, a routine physical, eye and ear tests, thyroid function test, and got a 3 month through the mail refill on my meds. Hopefully that will cover me until my new insurance kicks in in 3 months with the new job. Good luck finding something else quickly when you get laid off - I am sorry to hear that is happening to you! -Sherrie -74 lbs

Can you enact Cobra? This would give you more coverage longer until you find another health plan. Don't let your coverage lapse, then you may not be able to have coverage for things with you new plan. Talk to your doctor's office about any tests you might need. Good luck! Cathy 271/220/160
