June Challenge - How's it going Marchers?
I have lost only 4 additional pounds since the start of June -- looks like I need to change something in my daily intake or pray that my plateau of 246 lbs will start to fall. I have been walking a lot: anywhere from 2.0 to 5.5 miles a day and am wondering if this has anything to do with it. Muscle weighs more than fat, I know, but I would think that with all this walking, I would have lost more weight. I am trying to keep happy thoughts in my head, like at least I am down from the 299 lbs I was carrying after Christmas (at surgery, I weighed 292 lbs), which is a heck of a lot better than where I was last summer, but still it is frustrating. Any words of comfort or wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I've lost 5.9 lbs. so far. This challenge has definitely helped me show up at the gym more and stay on track with making the lifestyle changes, doing the self-care every day instead of drifting off, etc. I think it's been even more motivating than starting to fit in some clothes I like.
It's something about the accountability to the group, doesn't feel like a burden because it's supportive rather than critical.

Dear Joy,
I knew I could count on you to cheer me up! A Hershey's binge, you say? Sounds like a grand idea to me; I'll try it! No, seriously, you are an inspiration to us all, and I thank you from the bottom of my lowered-cholesterol heart! God bless you for your endless optimism and kind , uplifting words that never fail to bring a smile. I love your sense of humour. God bless!
